All-nighter, a message from Ann Rhead and startabedandbreakfast

Last night I couldn't sleep so I worked on the business plan and did some reasonably good work. Two of the most interesting bits in the early hours of the morning were the SWOT and PEST analysis. WHOT? you may be asking, are those? Actually perhaps you already know...but here goes (a tiny explanation on these acronims). Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Fairly obvious and reasonably easy to figure out. But rather less obvious is Political, Economic, Social and Technology. This grid is used to analyse trends, potential change and evolutionary developments in society which are likely to influence the market. Find out more by asking to read our business plan and also at the charmingly named businessballs.com

Ann Rhead from Arran Estate Agents wrote us an email about renting the cottage on a short- term tenancy agreement until we achieve the outstanding funding to purchase. This is fantastic news. So we can plan to be off to Arran at the end of October and really get things moving.

Researching for the business plan led me to a very useful website Start a Bed & Breakfast. I registered with this very informative site and had a very nice message from Jane Marshall, the features editor of the webpage. It was almost certainly an automated response but the content was good.
