Another valuation, TV idea, the allotment and homemade pizza

A very nice lady called Julie came today to value Mark's house from Mike Dobson Estate Agents in Kippax. We had an excellent conversation about how she proposed to market the house, it's value and about customer service in general. I think she was impressed with the property, was clear about it's potential for sale and we were with her.

I had an idea for a 'reality' television programme proposal about this adventure which I think we should put together and send off to commissioning editors at Channel Four. I spoke briefly to Hilary about our plans and I am to call her again tomorrow and talk about them in more detail. She was, as always, rushing out to do something wonderful or more likely a recue job at LWT to save them from sure disaster but she sent a text saying "Speak to you tomorrow, very exciting, love you". So we will.

Afterwards we went to visit our Bev and had a lovely afternoon talking about our plans especially with Samantha. We laughed, a lot, and Mark told terrible stories about me. And then we went (me slightly tipsy after drinking Barcadi and Coke all afternoon with Bev) to visit Sam and Karen at the allotment. They have three new chickens and the garden is continuing to be very productive. We are inspired by their dedication to chicken wifery and the amazing selection of home-grown chilli's. We came away with loads (of chilli's).

In the evening I made pizza following Hugh Fearlessly-Eats-It-All's receipe that was in The Guardian today. If I'm going to offer to provide evening meals at the Cottage I need to extend my repertoire. I thought the result was pretty good.  The base was a nice, if slightly soft dough and was topped with roasted tomatoes from Sam and Karen's allotment and mushrooms and cheese. Of course it would have been easier to go to the Co-Op and buy two for the "price of one" but actually I really enjoyed doing it.
